13 is a Lucky Number

Many people have told us in our short life that 13 is an unlucky number, but we think it’s lucky – after all, we’re 13 months old today.  And at least if it does prove to be unlucky, we are only 13 months for a day – after that we’ll be 13 months and 1 day, which I’m sure doesn’t count.

Shchimmerella was born on 13th May ~ that’s the day I got my new mumma, so I like 13. Also if there are 13 nice eaty things, humans tend to give us the 13th to make it 12 for them. 13 is a lucky doggy number!

I’m so exciteted ~ do you like walking in forests? If so, you MUST come & visit me & I’ll take you on the walk I’ve just come back from. Mumma took us up the mountain & up & up & up & we enededed up in a forest! Those strange men from LEADER have made me a lovely walk off the roads. Mumma had us out for 2 hours. I had to help her find the way back as the walk isn’t marked all the time & she lost the way. Am’t I lucky ~ I have my very own way-marked walkie. Midnight says it’s HIS walk as they’re making it for his birthday. He refused to come with us ~ but I know it’s MY walk because we have forests in Russia, so those men made me a walk in the forest so I feel at home. I’m so cititeded & I want to go back out & explore more & I want to show it to you

We’ve not been in any forests yet. Casey says he loves forests – so much that he gets too excited and runs off and Mummy worries like crazy as to where he has gone and whether he’s got into any trouble. Maybe one of these days Mummy will let us explore a forest.

Piri, Twiglet & a PiriPup or 2 often run off to explore, but none of us got too far away from mumma. Except Piri & Twigs ran off along the road ages away from us. Mumma whistled them & they came back. Is Casey smaller than Twigs? She’s about 18 inches tall at her shoulder. The forests seem to be well undergrown so we can’t push too far in to get lost. I want to go up there again, but I’m going to sleep on Twigs now as she likes me finally & she’s brilliant at bitey-nosey-facey. Night night

Casey won’t let me measure him, but Cavies are only meant to be 12-13 inches high, so think he’s definitely smaller than Twigs. Us Welshies are meant to be 19 inches tall – although I don’t think Zen has quite come up to the mark yet.
