Hal’s Home

Mummy collected him this morning.

It’s lovely having him home, even if I have to share my cuddle time with him.  He did growl a bit at me, and Mummy got rather worried when we started to fight – I ended up in the cage for that.  But we have settled down now, and spent some time curled up together.

The outlook for Hal is uncertain as his cartilage damage is significant.  The nice vet is hoping that his elbow will be more comfortable, but we won’t know for quite a while.  Recovery may take 2 or 3 months, and he’s on medication for the next 4 weeks.

Hal has spent the day laying on one of the beds in Mummy’s study – it’s the smallest room in the house, so Mummy thought he would be able to settle down there and not be tempted to play, and hence not need to be shut in the cage for too long.  And I’ve been very good and only tried to fight a couple of times, but Mummy soon put paid to that.

Hal is walking mainly on 3 legs, but he does try to use his operated leg every so often, although it’s obvious that he’s not too comfortable putting weight on it at the moment.  Hopefully it will get easier and he will get more confident in the next couple of days.

Anyway, here’s a few photos of Hal relaxing, and one of me inspecting his cage:
