Vets

Mummy took us all to the vets today.  There were so many things that Mummy wanted the nice vet to look at that she had to write a list.

Shandy – he had his annual health check, his annual boosters, his Rabies booster for his passport and Mummy also wanted to discuss about him going deaf, although there’s not much that can be done about that.  He also had his heart checked as he’s got a murmur, but that still seems to be functioning fine.

Casey – he had his annual health check, his annual boosters, his Rabies booster for his passport and Mummy had also noticed a lump on his chest.  The vet tried to take a sample of the lump to send for testing, but it’s too small at the moment so Mummy just has to watch it.

Here’s a chart of the Cavies’ weights – they’ve both lost weight recently:

Zen – Mummy wanted to start the process of us getting our passports so we had our first Rabies injection.  Also, Mummy had noticed that one of Zen’s ears has been rather messy since our holiday and is not responding to being cleaned so that was looked at – and Zen had managed to pick up an ear infection from all his swimming in the sea.  Ear drops for him twice a day for the next week…

Me – Mummy also started the process for my passport, so I had my first Rabies injection as well.  She also got the vet to check my elbow as I’ve been running around rather a lot in the garden this last week and she wanted to ensure I wasn’t overdoing it.  The vet was happy with how it is progressing.

Here’s a chart of our weights (remember that Mummy was told to keep us slightly underweight to help with our elbows – she’s taken that to heart!):

Mummy managed to catch us for a photo when we weren’t looking:
