Depending on where you are, today may be the first day that the evenings no longer get darker earlier – sunset remains constant for about a week, before the evenings start to get lighter (admittingly by only a couple of minutes a week, but it all helps). But the shortest day is not until Dec 21st – Mummy did try to explain that to us, but we didn’t understand. Still, we’re looking forward to soon being able to play or walk in daylight at 8pm.
